Dries Van Noten Collection
Dries Van Noten, born in May 1958, is a World Famous Fashion Designer from Belgium. The Van Noten family has a long history in the fashion industry, Dries Von Noten is third generation. Van Noten graduated from Antwerp’s Royal Academy and is part of The renowned Antwerp Six. As a start in 1986, Van Noten and some of his fellow graduates rented a truck and set up shop outside of London Fashion Week! Bold.
Van Noten is known for using bold colors and pattern mixing in his designs. I first discovered him in a Biographical Fashion Documentary. He mixes pattern and refinement level creatively, yet seamlessly. The New York Times describe him as “one of fashion’s most cerebral designers”. I would describe his aesthetic as British Estate meets Creative Pattern.
Van Noten is a regular on The Fashion Week Schedule showing at Paris, London and more. This year in a surprise turn Van Noten came together in an unexpected collaboration with famous designer, Christian Lacroix.
